ISG TECHNOLOGY WINS KHIN HELP DESK CONTRACT

| Description: | Salina, KS; October 20, 2011: ISG Technology announced today that it has been awarded the Help Desk contract for Kansas Health Information Network (KHIN). ISG Technology Support Center staff, located in the Wichita, KS branch office, will handle Tier 1 technical support calls for KHIN participants. A toll free phone number and email will be available for all KHIN/HIE participants and will begin formal operations in mid-October 2011.
The ISG Technology Support Center will be responsible for the initial troubleshooting of reported problems from KHIN Participants. Additionally, the ISG Support Center team will be tasked with performing the initial triage of support related issues.
We are very excited about this new initiative with KHIN. Providing participants with technical support they need aligns with our overall healthcare strategy, states Ted Barbieri, Healthcare Account Executive at ISG Technology. It is our goal to help local healthcare providers take the next step as they prepare to move to Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR),
KHIN is starting a state-wide Health Information Exchange (HIE), designed to assist participants in gaining efficiencies and cost savings in the healthcare industry. These HIEs will help avoid the duplication of service and provides easy access and transfer of patient data with the goal of improving patient care.
